Advice?

Thank you so much for all the feeding advice! I am definitely going to try some of that out! I was wondering something else now. Olivia really doesn't sit very well in her high chair. Have any of you found a high chair with better padding for a kiddo with dwarfism, or a better way of padding on to help her sit better? The way she sits right now, she can't even really reach the tray. Any advice you have would be much appreciated!

Becky!
Our PT made a foam insert for our high chair that worked really well for Caden until he could support himself. She layed him and sat him on the big piece of foam to trace him then she used an electric kitchen knife to carve the foam. If you look in some of my post from May and prior you can see pictures of it. There was a piece on the bottom that Caden sat in and a piece on the back. Hope that helps!

Same as Katie and Tonya said . . . we have the fisher price space saver high chair and Simon absolutely loves it! You can adjust both the angle of the chair and the tray. I know Babies R Us and Target sell them - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2508005.

the foam insert that Caden's mommy mentioned would be a good option and that was the route we were going until I used our old wooden high chair at my mom's house ( not the new wooden ones with the big tray but the old ones with the small wooden tray) They are sooo much smaller than today's high chairs - we rolled up some burpclothes to support him on the sides - slid a thin phonebook under the pad and he does great in it and can reach the tray really well - he couldn't of done this chair in the beginning before he sat supported well. I don't know if you could get your hands on one on craigs list, ebay, or an antique store...

the space saver may be an easier solution but just wanted to share our find.

Hello! Yahoo on the moving around. As you might have seen we closed our blog! I have also lost your e-mail address...so please e-mail me with your info again :)

Grace has a space saver high chair as well and it works great. Babies R Us is great at returning anything that doesn't work for Grace. We had to put foam behind her for awhile but now she doesn't need it. Food...have you tried yogurt or the Gerber fruit mixes? If Grace doesn't want to eat, I often eat some in front of Grace and before I know it she is reaching for the food. Good luck!

we fed fern in her baby chair until she had sitting balance then moved her to the stokke trip trapp which is supporting back and feet as adjustable to fit the childs size.
