On the Move

Olivia has had quite a week. She got her first tooth on Tuesday, another on Wednesday, and has two more ready to come through! In addition to that she has started trying to crawl. Yay for me, I finally figured out how to add video! So...here is a short video of Olivia trying to get to the remote control! I didn't get the video camera until she was half way there. Sorry for the incredibly shaky video job! I will try to add some video of her talking in "Olivia language" next week, hopefully less shaky. Enjoy!

We also saw Olivia's GI doctor today. He wants us to increase the fortifier so that her feedings are higher calorie. Hopefully this will help her gain weight. She hasn't gained weight since November. Without weight gain we she can't lose the oxygen. The doctor also wants us to try to get her eating other things. We've tried oatmeal and rice cereals, bananas, pears, applesauce, peas, and sweet potatoes. She doesn't like any of them! I am totally open to any suggestions to get her to eat if anyone has any!

Yeah Olivia!
I love that cute little scoot/crawl :0)
As far as the food can you try yogurt? Don't give up .... keep trying what you've already tried. It seems like Caden's likes and dislikes change weekly!

Adorable video! Go Olivia! You will have to get her weight up and off of that oxygen or she will be tangled up everywhere!

She is adorable! Her personality definitely comes through in her pics/video. I don't have experiance with baby food yet, but we are going to try to make our own. Here is a book we bought for recipes. Claire Hubacher used this for her kids and she loved it. http://www.superbabyfood.com/recipes.htm

Yeah Olivia! So proud of you! She did go a very long distance. I wish I had answers on the eating-it's hard since my son is a slob with eating. How about real bananas crushed up? Not the gerber ones?

Way to go, Olivia! What an exciting week! She is so cute scooting across the floor! At 19 months old, Simon's 4th tooth is just now starting to pop through . . . at the rate Olivia is going, she will have a full set of teeth in no time. :)
Keep trying the foods you mentioned. A couple of fruits that have been Simon's favorites are nectarines and peaches. I would peal them, cut them up, microwave them for 3-5 minutes (until they were easily poked with a fork), and then put them in the blender. With about 6 nectarines or peaches, you can fill two ice cube trays (or a little more), if you wanted to freeze some.
